Soon Children's Centre

Place: Kasarani, Mwiki.

About the Centre:

Lucy Mbaya, is the director

The centre was founded in 1994 and currently has thirty-five children aging from one year to fifteen years.

The centre is a rescue place for desperate orphans and street children, received from the community children's department, as well as street families programmes.

Until recently the children were living in a rented flat. Recently they have moved to a semi-permanent structure of mabatis

The kitchen only has one stove and two charcoal burners for cooking, which is not sufficient due to the large amount of food that is prepared every day.

The centre does not need water tanks, but probably support in form of upgrading the kitchen with additional cooking burners.
The centre does not need cloth donations, but support in form of washing detergents, bathing soaps and dry foods.
The room where the centre uses as a store is disorganised. The Hashers can donate wooden shelves to be placed in rows, for placing items.

The Hashers can provide support in form of paying school fees for the children.
